The challenge

SAVI offered several ways to explore and analyze community data. The challenge was to make the overall experience easier to understand while supporting both casual discovery and deeper analysis.

What I did

Audited the existing applications and compared other data platforms to identify overlapping tasks, navigation problems, and opportunities for a shared experience.
Separated exploration from advanced analysis, then defined the entry points, navigation, and transitions that connect those modes.
Created interface concepts, design-system foundations, and specifications for workflows including dashboards, profiles, maps, and data discovery.

Outcomes

A coherent design direction and a detailed set of interaction and system specifications for the platform modernization. The work connected product strategy with the screens and components needed for implementation.
